Free Speech Film Festival - December 2016
15 Dec Free Speech Film Festival - December 2016
We are proud to announce that our film, “Paying the Price for Peace,” is one of the final six “Official Selection” films of American INSIGHT’s 2016 Free Speech Film Festival!
American Insights’s 2016 Free Speech Film Festival ™ attracted 70 films by (or about) 32 different countries this year; and 41 citizens from 10 states across America and 7 countries around the world signed up to judge these films online.
Due to the potentially volatile nature of the Free Speech content that is submitted by filmmakers each year, they do not hold a “festival” of screenings. Instead, all six winning films are announced on the night of the Award Ceremony; and their filmmakers are featured for a period of one year on their websites, Free Speech Blog, and monthly newsletters. The competition this year was intense and the judging was close. Films were submitted on a variety of highly-charged global topics.
